At about 14:00 on December 6th, 1997, an Antonov An-124 Ruslan crashed into a group of buildings at Grazdanskaya street, Irkutsk-2. Giant cargo was on the route Moscow-Irkutsk-Vladivostok-Vietnam. It went down 20 seconds after take off from Irkutsk Aviation Factory strip. On board of the aircraft were two Sukhoi Su-27UB Flanker-B fighter aircraft destined for Vietnam. There were no survivors among Antonov's Russian Air Force VTA crew, Irkutsk factory personnel and representatives on board of the Ruslan. It is believed that more than 50 people perished in crash, including those unfortunate inhabitants of the Grazhdanskaya, 45.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to families and friends of those who perished in crash.
