You'll never get grounded with us: we have plenty of planes and types. Most requested types are available in several examples to keep flying regardless of maintenance schedule.

From C172 for training and leisure, through twins, aerobatic airplanes to advanced, glass-cockpit equipped types, you'll find anytime the type fit for you, fuel-filled and ready to fly on the apron.

European Certification

On the forefront since the beginning, Aero Club Milano got in 2002 its European FTO (Flying Training Organization) certification according to JAR-FCL (Joint Aviation Requirements - Flight Crew Licensing) rules.

A quality award obtained through the effort our Club performed to update the whole organization following new rules implementation. FTO certification is subject to annual renewal by means of checks and thorough inspection operated by ENAC (Italian Aviation Authority).

Aero CLub Milano is also the first in Italy to get European CAMO (Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Organization) certification.

Aerobatics

In 1975 our Club gave birth to Crippa Trophy, the first aerobatic contest in Italy dedicated to the founder of our Aerobatic Group, the well-nown painter and pilot Roberto Crippa.

In 1993 a new contest, the Reggiani Trophy, was organized. A contest attended by most known and thrilling worldwide aerobatic champions to fly amazing freestyle sequences: yet a classic date in international sport season, i named after the private sponsor, faithful pilot and member of the Club and aerobatic enthusiast.

Flight adventures

Aero Club Milano's members sport a wide range of aeronautical records. In 1986, when Lampedusa island was hit by Lybian missiles, 13 light planes of the Club flew in formation up there to offer the friendship and solidarity of Milan. But adventure eagerness of our fellows is astonishing: flights to Antarctica and North Pole took off from Bresso, as well as several round-the-globe and African tours.

Ladies are welcome

Women pilots are no longer rare in our Club. Moreover, we studied a special "formula" not aimed to pilots, but to their friends, sons, and wives. Our "Self-Loading Cargo" courses explain to non-pilots how and why a plane flies, what happens inside the cockpit and how to land safely a plane in case of trouble. A couple of evenings to share with friends as well as some simple flight mission to get into the flight, a success story for all.

On-line Services

A wide choice of on-line services is available to Club's members to ease flight activities as well as needs related to license ownership. Among them:

  • On-line airplane availability and reservation
  • License and endorsements expiration warning
  • Newsletter

Our highly qualified specialists, often members offering their skills on a voluntary basis for everyone's advantage, are constantly active to improve quality and quantity of available services.
