Cessna C172R
Evolution and refinement of ubiquitous C172M, C172R marks in 1995 the restart of single-engined planes production of Cessna after a hyatus spanning over a couple of decades.
Operated in 2 examples (I-FACN, I-MENC), C172R mounts a Lycoming IO-360 4-cylinders, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 160HP engine, fixed-pitch propeller, fixed undercarriage. Accommodation is 4 persons and endurance is around 5 hrs at a cruising speed of 120 knots (240Km/h), allowing the plane to be used for tourism. Full-IFR avionics makes her fit for IR training.
