Aero Club Milano - Costs

Costs

Aero Club Milano offers its services and airplanes to regular members. Everybody may join the Club after paying relevant dues. Find here some explanation about costs structures and hourly rates.

Aero Club Milano is a non-profit, private association which one may adhere to by paying an annual membership fare. A Member of the Club acquires the right to make use of services and facilities provided by the Club: aircraft, infrastructures, flight school, ground and flight instructors and whatever.

Two levels of Membership fares are available: with the lowest one, aircraft hourly cost is higher, with the lowest one, the opposite. The mechanism is studied to ease the most active pilots, for a break-even point of some 12 flight hours per year, corresponding to the minimum for flight licenses validity.

Finally, an entry fee is present for the new Members with valid flight license acquired in other flight schools or for new club's licensees to confirm their membership.

Aircraft hourly prices, with two levels depending on Memberships fees, include fuel, oil, maintenance, insurances and aircraft hire. Practically, aircraft is hired "by the hour" upon effective flight time.

Instructors hourly cost is independent on Membership fee. Costs are computed upon effective flight time, as for aircraft.

Price differ depending on VFR (i.e. for visual flight), as normally happens in basic training flights, or IFR (i.e. instrumental flight).
